Father's Day Is Halftime

Most of what you do as a dad will never make the highlight reel. The early mornings. The hard work. The times you held it together when you had nothing left. The prayers nobody heard but God.
It doesn't go unnoticed here. Billy Graham said it well: "A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society."
Dad, you are worth celebrating. And guys, don't we love a good celebration, especially championship ones!
The FIFA World Cup is being played right now across America — 48 nations chasing the most coveted trophy in sports. The New York Knicks just won their first NBA Championship in 53 years, coming back from 29 points down — the largest comeback in NBA Finals history. The Carolina Hurricanes just lifted the Stanley Cup for the first time in 20 years.
Here's what every one of those teams has in common: not one of them raised a trophy for winning a single game. Championship banners don't get hung for good intentions or strong starts. They had a plan and a goal. And as they say, hard work pays off...in championships.
Father's Day is a landmark, but it's also a reminder. We're at halftime. Six months gone. Six months to go. The second half has a full schedule: back to school, birthdays, fall activities, followed by the holidays. And still time to make this a summer for your family to remember!
Champions don't just survive halftime, they use it.
They assess. They adjust. They execute. The year isn't over. Championships aren't won in the first half. They're won in the second.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." | 2 Timothy 4:7
